Galata Plus is in a great location, smack bang in the heart of Beyoglu, near loads of great restuarants, bars and shops. It's really easy to get to all tourist sites from this area, either by foot or on public transport. The room was exactly as expected - clean and with good facilities (we had a studio room with a fridge, hob, microwave, toasty machine, sink, washing machine and dishwasher). There was always somebody on duty at the front desk so it felt safe.
Be aware that, as this is a very central location, it can get noisy. We were there from Wednesday - Monday. Wednesday and Thursday nights were the usual street noise - some cars honking and occasionally people chatting - nothing bad if you are used to cities (we are from London). On Friday and Saturday night the bar across the street sprung to life. The music was loud and continuous until 3am, and there was quite a lot of noise from people on the street. Sunday night was calmer again. If you plan on partying at the weekend then it won't be a problem, but if you're just going for a sight-seeing weekend, you might want to go somewhere a bit further away from the action.

Place, its really in center of Instanbul Beyoğlu
bit noise - in terms of internal visitors (travelers) the wall are really thin

It was near Istiqlal Street only.
No elevators. No lobby. Narrow stairs. No staff available. Very small rooms. Poor room service. Bad location. Poor furniture.

We had a good experience in this hotel and I'd be happy to recommend it for someone wanting to stay where the action is in Istanbul. Our room had a bedroom and a living room with a sofa-bed. The apartment was modern and elegantly furnished, had a French balcony giving to a lively street (quite sound-proof) and small kitchen. The apartment was smallish (we were 2 adults + 2 small kids), but very nice. It had a washing machine, a dishwasher and a DVD player. Location is excellent, about 200 m from the busy walking promenade, the bars and the nighlife. There's an excellent coffee shop (about 6 m2 customer space) with a great coffee selection and quality selection of magazines for customers (New Yorker, Time Out Istanbul etc.) just downstairs.
Hot water in the shower was scarce, we couldn't find all the necessary kitchenware (forks, knives, spoons etc) in the kitchen (maybe they were somewhere, we didn't actually need them). Reception is small, there is no elevator and there is limited space for left luggage. However, the guys working at the reception are very nice and helpful. For us, it worked out fine by leaving our bags and suitcases behind the counter for about 6 hours after check-out while waiting for our departing flight.
